The ritual
A strong spiritual focus is placed on restoring the warm energy that is believed to be lost in the process of childbirth. We begin the honoring ceremony by clearing our energy (usually with smoke), then create a sacred container in which we give thanks to your placenta for the life-giving work it has done for your baby in utero. We ask your placenta permission to work with it & that its energy continue to nourish you, your new baby & your whole family in the next phase of your lives. If you have expressed a special intention or blessing, it is infused into the ceremony at this stage. We only ever work with one placenta at a time- from start to finish.
